recomend a multimeter

Hey all, would anyone like to recommend a multimeter or something that
could data log current draw overnight??? So no powering off, and going
over data collected over the night, possible via pc.... only
specification needed is has to handle approx 10AMPS DC max only for a
short period....

Thanks

Consider an Ebay digital oscilloscope for PC.
Seems to be <$200.00

Use a current sensing resistor.

I suspect PC soundcards don't digitize DC.
However... :)
Oscillator + VCA + current sensing R + soundcard ...might be a
workaround
Find a freebee PC scope app.. I believe there are some floating around
in the wild.
Or perhaps a sound recorder app and an audio analysis app.

But I have to wonder how large the acquisition file will get
overnight..
Have lots of virtual memory ??

I was using a brand new one of these today. Nice bit of kit.
(care on the line break).
