Rechargeable li-ion Battery output?

Hi All,

I bought a generic rechargeable li-ion Battery in China and wondering if I can use this device to recharge my handphone, ipod that are using 5V?

The spec of the battery is:

Input: 12 6VDC
Output: 12.6-10.8VDC 1800mAh

Probably too much voltage and will blow the devices? If any have general rule for buying portable rechargeable battery unit, please reply to this post.

Did u buy 12V lead acid style (boxed lithium) battery or its cylindrical battery? I'm quite curious..
