An old Sansui Amp with no dates on ICs, Transformer, caps, trannies etc.
Two plastic end pieces marked Sanyo, one Left & one Right hand.
Both have 82 83 84 85 with a small moulded pip over both 82 and 83
Then a 1 to 12 'clock face' both with an arrow next the figure 8.
Also in the centre of these dials is in one case a small raised
diametric bar pointing between about 7.6 and 1.6
and on the other bar moulding about 3.8 to 9.8.
Can anyone decode mainly the 1982/3?

Does this seem likely - a centre pop dimple in the mould above
82 in 1982 and then another over 83 in 1983. Leading to
raised small conical pips on the plastic.

It sounds like the mold was first used in 1982, and still in use in
1983. they just drill a dimple in the mold every time it increments
rather than changing a stamped plate on the mold, like the early days
when you saw the screw heads and outlines of the plates.

I was looking at a Samsung combo TV / VCR today.
IC date codes suggested 2003 IC manufacture.
On the ps and TV EHT board was a white silkscreen printed
panel presumably with date coding.
Can anyone decode this one ?
A left panel and right panel consisting of
1 to 6 along top and 5 dots in each column so 6 X 5
Right panel marked 7 to 12 and similar array of dots
but the third one down under the 7 was missing.
So I assume third week of 5 weeks of July.
Central panel had marked on top of one another
02
??
??
05
The queries were probably the remnant tops of numbers from scrubbed out
03 and 04 so i assume like in the plastic case 03 is scrubbed
in 2003 and 04 scrubbed in 2004 but still leaving the 03 mark.
So my guess being the screen printing date of mid July 2004

Then another small central panel marked
J XXK
XXXJ
XXX
An X representing a white dot and no dot in row 1 , col 1
and K J letters printed.
I've no ideas about that
