If you are so keen to get the rules changed go try, some if us have other
things to do.
oh i'm sure the rsgb (who according to a certain australian website
run the licencing system) are well aware of the stupid stance that
they have now put amateur radio into.
objecting to morse for hf and then putting into the syllabus where
now, yo ucant get *any* licence without it.
and if someone refuses to touch morse code with a barge pole, they get
no licence- even an m3.
whereas before they could get at leasyt down to 50mhz.
you are one of the ones who brought about this non-sensical situation.
it seems you dont like having it pointed out to you.
you even said that the morse requirement for new licences should be
kept and surprise surprise...it was.
but of course..the morse appreciation(with crib sheet) is
"as easy as they say" isnt it Brian.
its a joke. 2500 people proved it.
as i said before....
print the amateur licence on the back of
a corn flakes packet and be done with it.

Even now, you can do a VERY simple (much slower than 5wpm) Morse
assessement (truely no fail and no need to learn the code- my XYL
and daugther did the 'test' cold and passed with NO preparation in advance)
and get an M3 call to operate on HF with 10W. Moves are afoot to try and
get this changed to full HF access by the way- contact me for more details-
as this test meets the ITU rules. Needless to say, certain groups are not
supporting these moves.
