degaussing coil is needed since its a crt. most have them built into the tv, yours might not be working any longer. Check with one of the TV places they might let you use theirs since its not used very often now.
If they do, plug the coil in, put it in the center of the tv. if there is a a switch, press the switch, and then turn the coil in circular motion as you move it away from the CRT. That should clear your problem.
