Questions regarding a rail gun build.

I have no knowledge of electronics. I am trying to build a DIY rail gun. I want to know if a 300 volt capacitor would be to much power for a disposable camera circuit board?

I think you are treading dodgy ground here.
I know nothing about rail guns but I think they are high power and a disposable camera would only tickle the storage capacitor. You will have to match the voltage and provide sufficient capacity.
