Not sure if anyone here uses one, but I have a question about the W1209 temperature relay controller. For my application, I would need the sensor to unit distance to be about 3-4x greater than it is (about 12 feet or so). Is it possible to extend the sensor cable length with standard two conductor hookup wire, or does it use special wire? Thank you.

Do you have a link...save everyone having to chase it down and end up with the wrong device.

Yes, the link is here. Since I posted, I also found out that the sensor is a thermistor. That link shows the same one with leads of 10m, so it looks like I could extend it.

Just use ordinary copper twin wire. I extended mine to about 15 ft to monitor a hot water system.

Thanks for the info. Do you actually use the unit in question, or a different one? I had one other question about the current capability of the relay @ 12 VDC. On pictures of the relay, it shows 20 A, but descriptions are often saying 10 A. At 12 V, 7 to 8 A would be passing through it.

Best to put what you can see in here for others to see without having to hunt for details.
