I have not used a scope much. Just this one time! I think I know what I did wrong, but I wanted to see if anyone had anything to add er sum.
I am reading the field coils on my bikes flywheel that signal the ignition module where TDC(top dead center) in the firing sequence.
The signal I got was similar to the "dwell" in my cheater automotive electronics book...this is where the coil charges before the spark is fired. I was reading from the common center tap on the field coils to each of the signal wires for each cylinder.
what voltage, and speed should I be using to read these field coils?
