Hi,

I'm wondering if anyone knows of a shop in Melbourne, that sells an
adaptor that can plug a PS/2 male into an AT keyboard socket in a PC.

Or a shop that sells an AT cord gender switcher.

I'm basically trying to get a PS/2 KVM keyboard lead into an old PC
with an AT socket.

Thanks!!

I actually went to Dick Smith and bought one of those, but
unfortunately the plug is only for an AT Female...

I am needing to plug a PS/2 keyboard into an AT socket of an older
computer

Can't you just use an old keyboard, I've seen dumpsters full of them :)

Go-Lo had (may still have?), keyboards for about $8 which included the
adaptor you are after.
I've also seen keyboards with both plugs attached for <$10 at the PC
markets.

TonyP,

Situation is, I've got a KVM setup....and the new (old) PC I got has
an AT input only. Obviously it would be a lot easier to dump the old
keyboard....so tha's why I need the adaptor.

I'll try swap meets this weekend I think!

There are adaptors for that situation (fem-fem PS/2 connectors, that is) we
bought some just last week, but danged if I know where. It may have been
Jaycar (DSE didn't have them). Anyone....?

We have them for $9.98 .. going in both directions .. AT -> PS/2, and

DSE have the X2800 and X2801. Jaycar have the PL-0940 and PL-0941. One
connects a PS/2 keyboard to an AT PC, the other connects an AT
keyboard to a PS/2 PC. Perhaps you bought the wrong version???
