PS 24 Volts for CPM2B

Dear,

I want to make PS with 24 Volts regulated 50Watts for my PLC's. Please
help me, how to cretae it, i beg you all to give me some information
about that circuit, schematic, components list completely. Buying PS
for CPM2B is so expesive to me in Indonesia at least $28 :(

Hi, Mr. Nugroho. If we're talking about the Omron CPM2B, you'll also
need to look at 20A surge capability on turn-on, which might be
something of an additional problem. Your 24VDC supply has a
specification of 24V +10%/-15%. And the main board has a rated current
of 20 watts (a little more than 3/4A).

Altogether, I don't believe you're going to make a power supply for
less than the purchase price. However, you should be able to beat the
cost by purchasing a surplus 24VDC switching power supply that is
capable of supplying more than three amps, and has a minimum current
load zero or less than half an amp. I don't know about local
suppliers, but you can easily obtain a surplus power supply which will
do the job for quite a bit less than $28 USD.

If you have further questions about your Omron controller, you might
want to query sci.engr.control.
