If you go into SLM and make a new component, then start adding pins,
the pins are 3 grid units long. If you edit SOME existing components
(CAP springs to mind) you get pins 1 grid unit long.
Q : Without making all new components mutated caps, how do you make a
NEW component (not copying anothers attributes) with short (1 unit)
pins ?
cheers

When designing the new component go to
Edit Component > Information
and select "Device" instead of "Normal"

"Information" allows you to define what
type of symbol it is.
