I am building a coil winder with a photo-sensor and digital counter.
I have a few questions the photo sensor is a Omron EE-sx672 and the digital counter is a
KEP mini kal1.
I will post schematics but this is my 1st post so it wont let me. so i will post in a minute.
what i need to know is do i need to step the voltage down from the output of the photo sensor to the counter.
if anyone can show how the wiring between the 2 should be it would help a lot .
I am not a electrical engineer .
this is what i am attempting to build:

The photo sensor output doesn't have a voltage output, only an open-collector output, so there's no need to step down any voltage.
Just hook the mini-kal in as load2 and connect RL to 3V and you're done.
