After recently pulling a dead laptop apart i decided i could re-use the screen as a portable monitor (i got the idea from DIYPerks
). But unlike the video shows, i would like to add a battery to it so it can be used on the go. i have plenty of 18650 cells lying around and have made my own cutoff circuits before but they did not allow for charging and use at the same time. so my main question is does anyone know of a simple circuit that can discharge from the battery while unplugged and both charge and run the screen when plugged in to a standard laptop style power brick. i don't mind whether i have to make my own or if you can recommend a cheap, simple ebay/banggood/aliexpress circuit that has these capabilities (such as the link below ). it would also be nice to have the board include balance charging as i believe the majority dont (usually the sellers cant provide information about this)
Thanks in advanced,
SimpleJoe
ps. i believe the screen draws about 3 amps at 12v
