    Hi all,
I have a Kikusui COS5020 scope and a little worried about the waveform shape when calibrating (see pic). Pic isn't great but the arrow points to the not quite square line .Is this due to incorrect choice of probe?

It doesn't seem too bad to me. Perhaps you have the trace brightness up a little too high.

Thanks Steve! I see where you're coming from but my photo doesn't really show the issue too well so I did a little drawing............nice flat tops and bottoms but sloping drops and rises.

The fact that the leading and trailing edges don't have any rounding off or ringing suggests to me that it's not the scope, however it could still be a slew rate limitation in the scope, or it might be your oscillator.

If you can lay your hands on another scope, try connecting both to the same calibration output and see if the trace looks the same, or perhaps changes when one of the scopes is connected. (the other scope should have its own calibration output, so you could compare that too.

Thanks Steve! I'll see if I can find another scope!

Consulted a friend and he says it needs calibrating so anyone have the service manual? Thanks in advance!
