Pirated Press N Peel for PCB's current conclusions

My original post was about reverse engineeing Press N Peel.
I guess nobody is going to take the bait & try spraying BBQ
paint on laser transparency film to see if it works. Save me the
experimentation :)

After some thought..this is a coating technology problem not
electronics.
Maybe the Press N Peel guy should get some respect and not have
his formula spread over the internet & reducing profit..

Got surprised to spark a debate over DIY vs outsourcing PCB's.
Was interesting though. Cost, time, convienience and quality
factors stear me to DIY. Others to outsourcing for no mess.

Using inkjet photopaper as a Press N Peel substitute is new to
me. But as posted on here, may require some experimentation.
Perhaps a tricky DIY method leads to frustration and
outsourcing.

The blue stuff on Press N Peel will be a mystery for now.
My next post is also about DIY PCB production.

There is no convenience or quality in DIY. Strictly bush league.

Contemplating my own mortality and limited time to do things led me to
Olimex.

Email me. I'll see if I can pay for your next PCB as long as you have a
decent sized design under 6 x 4 inches, two layers, you respect
Olimex's guidelines and you do the layout. It's actually physically
painful for me to read about this phenomenal waste of time, hacking and
whacking away about which paper will make the least messy traces given
that you have an entire kitchen table of chemicals, baths and clothes
irons tweaked "just so" to give a barely reliable result when you could
be, oh I don't know, working on electronics??

Consider it philanthropy during the holiday season. (My energy funds
are up again too)

If your layout is like getting two icepicks through my eyes, I'll redo
the layout.

Your philanthropic leanings are commendable, but in this case misplaced.
Some people spend *decades* contemplating the fuzz in their bellybuttons.
They feel they lead a productive life... so instead why dont'cha shoot me
over $70k so I can finally get a decent spectrum analyzer? :)

Well there are so many people here who can make PCBs in seconds, I'm
sure you could build a complete spectrum analyzer in a week. :)

Pages from the Harbor Freight catalog work fine, at least down to 12
mil traces, for me. Press N Peel doesn't work well with my particular
laser printer's toner.

Harbor Freight? Can I google that?
I still would like to find something to spray on laser
transparency to imitate Press N Peel.
Once I get rich, I can just throw money at people and have PCBs
done that way. :)
