Hello everyone I'm having problems with the volume control on my receiver. I have to constantly bring up the volume because it go's down by itself. If i'm not there to bring up the volume it would go down completly. If anyone knows the solution, please post. Thank You .

A defective capacitor could be the cause, but without a schematic of the receiver it'll be tricky to track down.
Can you post a well-focussed close-up of the circuit board, especially the area near the volume control (clear enough that component numbering/marking can be read)?
Do any of the capacitors show signs of bulging or leaking?

The fact you have to turn it backup is intriguing ... do you get full volume when turning it up? Or is it quieter than before?

Maybe there's something causing it to trigger volume down, photos of the volume control with pcb? Check for any dirt and crap built up around the volume knob to where it sits on the pcb....
