I'm working on a guitar effects pedal, an optical compressor/tremolo. I'm using a 386 to trigger the picaxe to control an led/ldr, which then goes to a 358 op amp. It sounds great but there is a slight ticking noise when the picaxe led goes high. If the picaxe has either its own separate power supply or is battery powered the ticking goes away. I'm powering it with wall warts thru a voltage regulator. Ive added caps-1000uf and .1uf across the +volt and ground but when powered by a single power supply I can't get rid of the ticking. Ive tried 4 different wall warts. Any suggestions? Thanks.
