Is there any possibility of manufacturing a mobile with two earphone sockets so that there is a possibility of 2 or more people listen songs at a time
Will there be any disadvantage by doing this or any damage

you could probably find an adapter that does that on ebay (as in having one input and two audio outputs) but the headphones wouldnt be as loud.

And to add to the above post.
If you do lose some volume, you can always amplify it with something like this portable amp.
There are hundreds to choose from very inexpensive kits to £100's and more.

EDIT: Dave beat me again.. Agreed, some phones have four terminals. My iphone does. But my Nokia has three and plays any headphones or ext speakers.

mobile phone ??

If that is a mobile phone, that may or may not work because most mobile phone plug/sockets are 4 terminal, not 3

Dave
i think both 3 and 4 terminal plugs will work on a smart phone (that's what a "mobile phone is these days"). the 4 terminals plugs just have mics.

TRRS - tip, ring, ring, sleeve
TRS - tip, ring, sleeve

Many non-apple devices with TRRS connectors can detect a TRS stereo headset and adjust internally for it. So the only thing needed is a TRS simple splitter cable, 1 or 2 dollars US or equiv.

I've used something like this for many years.

Because of the difference between various headphones, earbuds and listeners, there's a little procedure for using the splitter effectively:

1. All connections are made, both splitter volume controls are set to maximum and the music is started at a low volume setting.
2. The volume on the music source is increased until both listeners complain that it's too loud.
3. Each listener adjusts their individual splitter volume control down to a comfortable level.
