Philips VR630 VCR. Error

Hi.

I have a Philips VR630 VCR. It's old and hasn't been played for over a decade. However, I wish to digitise some cassette tapes so, it's been dusted off and pressed into service once again.

It worked fine on the first tape but now it's displaying a flashing '3' with the double loop - indicating a cassette is loaded, which it isn't. I've found an online manual but it doesn't explain error codes.

Can anyone help solve this problem?

I've just had exact same issue - old machine trying to digitise vhs tapes.
Worked for first 2 then stopped, chewed tape and now getting flashing 3 with sign saying tape is loaded (it's not).
Did you manage to find a fix?
