I wonder if anyone can help? I have a Philips TFT monitor (Brilliance
151AX) that has gone belly up.

It has a bad green hue when no signal and when it is on it looks like
an old CGA colour scheme! I've tried it with different inputs and
reseting the thing through the menus etc etc but no joy. Thus I
conclude its broke.

My question is does anyone have experience of mending TFTs and if so
is it worth me giving it a go or should I just ship it of the Philips
to repair? Given the later is it worth me just buying a new one?

Ship it to Philips or junk it, there's nothing simple you can do to repair
these, most of the functions are contained within 2 or 3 custom chips.

There is not very much in these monitors that you or even many independent
service shops can repair in these monitors. You will have to send it to
Philips to have it properly serviced.
