I am in hopes that someone can help me here. I have a Philips 36H800
chassis that will shut down when it gets warm. I have tried to isolate the
defective component with component cooler but have been unable to narrow it
down. When it shuts down the power LED appears to flash a code. It is 2
short flashes followed by about a 4-5 second delay and then the 2 short
flashes. It will keep doing this until a button is pressed on the front of
the tv. You can press the power, channel, or volume buttons and it will
come back on and play until it shuts down again. Does anyone know what the
flashing LED means? Does anyone have schematics they would be willing to
email or fax? When it shuts down it looks like the CPU is controllling the
shutdown as I lose my bias voltage of the SMD transistor for the power
relay. Any help is appreciated.
