    Hi,

Is there such a device as a PCB mounted (any type) device which allows current to flow when it detects light?

What I would like to do is have an LED light up when a voltage is applied, this then shines on a sensor which allows current to flow. The sensor then stops flowing when the LED is off.

What I have found so far is RS642-4424 but I'm not 100% sure this is the right device.

    Thanks

How about something like this? You can adjust the light level it triggers at too. I can't find anything on the "RS642-4424" can you give a link?
