Hi all

I am interested in buying a PC/104 or a Single Board Computer, though I need
something cheap and fair enough so that I could put on it a Linux embedded
distro. There are a million of these (I Google-ed), but I am not sure of
what to choose. I need something with VGA support (so I could use the
framebuffer of Linux for simple GUI) and with a couple of Serial port, an
LPT and an ethernet (for applications in the future) and maybe some generic
digital IO ports like a PPI controller. I am interested in a x86 or ARM
architecture. Any suggestions? Does anyone have any experience with PC/104
or SBCs and Linux and how easy is to port to it a Linux kernel? Thanks in
advance

Regards
GM

PS1: Sorry for my English
PS2: I have posted this in comp.arch.embedded but didn't got any replies

Hi, GM. No experience with porting Linux. You might want to try
sci.engr.control too.

Good luck
