Maplin I know sells all the parts I need for my one off project, but are
there any other as comprehensive suppliers as maplin?

I would gladly get my components etc from a number of suppliers, but after
I've paid for carriage I'd have spent more.

Cheers all

Well, I do know a number of carriers that offers eye-popping selections
but they are in USA. I don't know if either will ship to UK or how much
it would cost.

Allied Electronics (www.alliedelec.com/), Mouser (http://mouser.com/),
and Digi-Key (http://www.digi-key.com/) Last time I recieved a catalog
from both Allied and Digi, they were bigger than a Detroit Metro area
phone book.

Digikey ship to the UK, bill in UKP, and have a UK toll-free number.
