Panasonic tv 20 to 30 minutes Shut off.

    i have problem with this tv, panasonic model:TC21XY when tunr on the tv its normal and have good reception but after 20 to 30 minutes shut off. i trouble shoot the tv and i check the b+ voltage have 135volts dc, i just wondering if this is normal or over voltage? and the Horizontal transistor output is very hot. HELP....

    do you have the service manual for it ?
    that would be very handy in being able to follow through the power supply etc

    It sounds like a heat problem, either overheating or maybe some components are failing once they warm up .... say some electrolytic capacitors. You should check all the electro caps and see if any of them are bulging or leaking

    There's a wonderful stuff called Freezer Spray in an aerosol can .... no decent electronics workshop should be with out a can of it. its awesome for finding heat related faults by spraying short squirts on suspect components and see if the fault disappears

    Without the service info I wouldnt know if that voltage is correct or not
