Panasonic SA-PM19 not working via remote

Panasonic micro-stereo not working via remote
Model: SA-PM19
remote model: EUR7711150

Remote appears to work
Has new batteries
It emits a signal (tested with digital camera)

Radio works as well on it's own.

Power cycled both parts no change.
