I have this tv that I am trying to fix. It powered on for about 5 mins with
the CRT's on, then it shut off. Now it will not turn on at all. Is there a
know problem with convergence IC's STK392-110 on this TV not allow the tv to
turn on? I found some info that said the STK392-110 will cause the TV to
shut off. Can anyone help? Thanks in advance

I just did one of these a couple of weeks ago. I can send you the
manual if you need.
The convergence IC's STK392-110 are the most common problem with these
sets.
It MAY kill the set, but I haven't seen it. Dani.

Yeah if you could send the manual that would be great. You can email it to
[email protected]. Do you have to replace the STK392-110 with a
different number or are they still available?

The 329-150 are a bit more reliable, order original parts, not second party
cheapies; also check the associated low value resistorss in the registration
circuit while you are in there.

Did you mean stk392-150? is the the part number a stk329-150? Is this a
direct replacment.

Well I replaced the STK392-110's with Hitachi STK392-150's and it fired
the guns up for a spilt second then turned off, and now will not turn on
again. Sounds like power supply is going into protection. Does anyone have
a service manual that want to sell?

Gentlemen - I need some help.

About 6 weeks ago my Panasonic PT-47WX42F died. The set turned off and the power light on the front would blink three times.

I read this forum (and a few others) and determined that my IC chips had died. I bought replacement 150's to replace my 110's and the set worked wonderfully! Thanks to all in this (and other) threads here that provided such helpful information.

But now <ahem> my set turned off again and now there is one blinking light - not three. I have no idea what has happened. I cannot find any information out there about just one blinking light.

Any ideas?

PT-47WX42F

My buddy gave me one with non-uniform convergence between R G B. I fixed it up in service mode, and it had been working well.

The other day, I went to tweek the G pin in service mode and the thing shut down. When I was able to get it to stay up and running again, my blue won't move horizontally, but vertically and all the other service mode CONV setttings will work. It looks like the B has WAY too high of a LINEAR value. I can observe the values change with RECALL in serv mode, but the Blue doesn't scale down in size at all.

Is there a EEPROM register number and value that I could plug in to change the LINEAR value to?

Thanks for any help
