Panasonic Home Theatre error f61 out of the box

    I have a new in the box model SC-PT760 Panasonic Home Theatre
    put it together, turn it on and get:
    a line across the display
    then a "w"
    then F61
    then turns off

    any assistance would be very much appreciated

    If brand new then return it..
