    I have a Panasonic 27" TV Model CT-27SF26A approximately 6 years old.
When I was watching it, the screen went black and no sound. It would
just make a click, click , click noise. You were unable to turn the set
off except by unplugging the AC. Set would turn on by push button or
remote but just made the click click sound. It does have standby power
(9 volt dc but no other dc voltages). Both internal fuses were good. I
replaced D554 (shorted) and Horizontal Output Transistor (shorted
emitter to collector) After replacing these two components I still have
the same problem but now only get one click when I turn it on. This
click appears to be AC relay energizing and then dropping out after
about 2 seconds. I have been unable to find any other bad components.
    Any suggestions would be appreciated.
