Where can I find the schematic for this old monitor? Packard Bell Model
1511SL, FCC Id BEJCP500

It is 11 years old and the image is very nice, until recently when I can
only use it at 640 by 480, at 60Hz.

If I try higher resolutions or frequencies the image will appear smaller
(both shorter and narrower) and I will be able to see what seems as the
retracement raster on the top of the screen.

For me it justifies to fix it as a weekend project.

Thanks for your help.

Yahoo has a group called Monitor Repair
Joe.

This group is adequate too. Remember, this is "sci.electronics.repair"
and a monitor is an _______________ device. Fill the blank space with
the word "electronic" and you will see what I mean.

You can do a search on: http://www.fcc.gov/oet/fccid/ on the FCC ID
name: BEJCP500 - the monitor seems to be a LG, try to find a schematic
on 14" monitors from the same manufacter and year (1994)

Best regard´s

I've never had any luck finding monitor schematics, but fortunately
they're not usually needed or even particularly helpful. Standard
troubleshooting techniques will usually suffice for monitors,
particularly older simpler ones like yours.

Thanks to all of you for your input.

I am trying the generic route now.
