We are having trouble controlling the full range of the tubes. Is it a limitation that if it goes below a threshold, in our experience it seems to be 0.6ms pulse within a 4.6ms period, the backlight cuts off for protection. Any ideas how we can achieve the range of 0-100% ccfl output? We have tried adjusting the feeedback resistor, R9, with negligible success.

I'm pretty sure that you can't get anything like 0 to 100% with CCFL.

I could take light meter readings of my laptop screen to give you some idea of the range they get...

It looks like you'd be lucky to get 10:1 range of brightness
