apologies, there's tons of this kind of bullshit out there on the web, and
it doesn't have anything to do with a lathe or milling machine, but, this
seemed pretty funny to me, wanted to show you guys.

spoke. A shotgun pellet in the bottom of the wheel part, followed by
match heads. Then the spoke was screwed back into place. The wire
spoke was held and a lighter flame applied to the wheel part and "pop"
goes the pellet.

Was not a rapid fire device!

Sounds like a typical "Zip gun" device.

You didn't try it with the spokes still on a wheel, mounted on an axle?
Load all the spokes. apply heat sequentially.
Ought to be good for, what, 30 rounds?
