Sorry to disappoint you, fredfraud. Your posts are so grammatically
perfect. I'll try harder next time.

Oh, I do. I fully expect everybody I flame to be able to handle it,
and give it back to me in kind. And noticing somebody's foolishness
isn't necessarily "flaming" them. Maybe you could say, "flaming is
in the mind of the beholder." American bullets, however, are not.
They are in the bodies of the victims.

And I must admit, it isn't George W. Bush I hate - it's the evil that
has him doing its bidding. Bush the man is more pitiable than anything
else.

And, if the cartel gets reelected, I guess I'll just sit here in my
guruic superiority, and say, "Oh, well, in the Big Picture, it doesn't
matter anyway - they're just fragments of spirits, trying to find their
balance point. The lesson is as intense as it needs to be to learn what
needs to be learned."

Thanks for the bout!

Well, Rich, your true colors are starting to show. Yellow.

You know nothing about these women other than that they're Jim's
daughters and that he's proud of them (and rightfully so) but because
of the malice that you bear Jim you attack _them_.

No, I'm attacking _any_ person who gets a government job, and
"can't get a real job anyway" is what people have said about government
employees since time immemorial. I.e., it's a very old, very stale,
dig at the entire philosophy about why people even _make_ governments.
That, from someone who purportedly is striving for enlightenment is
truly disingenuous.

Well, quit taking me so damn seriously! Who was the guy who was touting
Bush because he found it "fun?" ;-)

Cheers!

Yeah, but there's nothing in there about speculating about the physical
attributes of his married daughter. :)

If she's married, and employed, I presume she's a grown-up, and able
to take a little ribbing. You didn't notice the "<leer, snort>"?

Oh, yeah, maybe I should mention - I pay no obeisance to Political
Correctness in any guise.

Cheers!

Remember, Bush is a dangerous liar.

Not as bad as Kerry though. I mean... basically, he simply makes up so many
lies, then presents them and lets the public shoot them up. Eventually a
few turn out to be correct. Which is also how he's campaigned, reminiscent
of the Treehouse of Horror where the space aliens Kang and Kunos(?) abduct
and replace Bill Clinton and Bob Dole in the '96 election. So Kang is
speaking at a podium: "Abortions for none!" "Boooooo!!!!" "Very well,
abortions for all!" "Boooooo!!!!" "Very well; abortions for some,
miniature flags for others!" "Yaayyyyy!!!" Hit and miss like that,
searching for the right spot ... but of course, since he lacks that very
direction, he alienates about as much voter base as he gains.

LOL! Brings to mind something prophetic which my fourth grade teacher
said, which was that she saw the US slipping into socialism and the
then Soviet Union heading for democracy.

From what I hear that's China at the moment. Seeing as the USSR died...

Most of Europe is already pretty socialist, they probably count better
instead in terms of the above. But no one can say so because it'd be
rubbing their noses in our better-country-ness. :^)

In the case of the Bush republican machine these days, towing may be
a more applicable word. One imagines hundreds of the party faithful
leaning into the tow line, trying to move the massive deadload of Bush
government divisive attitudes and neo-con policies, with the right-wing
police-state control-your-life agendas piled high on top.

And the dems are any different? I could go out and ask a hundred dems why
they are voting and get basically, "cuz it's not Bush". Several people I
*have* asked have no honest reason. Let's not even mention *logical
reasoning*!

That wasn't your teacher talking. I remember this from my school days.
This bit of information was from the Kiplinger Changing Times

Which is antithetical to one of your chameleon-like positions about
arrogance and predicting the future, remember?
---
and give it back to me in kind.

"They" may not, but your kindness won't go unrewarded!
---
And noticing somebody's foolishness
isn't necessarily "flaming" them.

---
We're not talking about _noticing_ someone's foolishness and showing
it to them in a way which might help them become less foolish, we're
talking about using that foolishness as a means of achieving
self-aggrandisement by intentionally deprecating the target.
---
Maybe you could say, "flaming is
in the mind of the beholder."

---
You could, and there are any number of other blame-shifting devices
you could use, but whether they'd be true or just attempts to escape
responsibility for your actions is another matter.

American bullets, however, are not.
They are in the bodies of the victims.

No, I'm attacking _any_ person who gets a government job,

---
Why? Haven't they the same right to self-determination that you want
for yourself?
---
and "can't get a real job anyway" is what people have said about government
employees since time immemorial.

---
So now you're excusing yourself by associating yourself with "the
herd" which at other times you try so desperately to distance yourself
from? LOL!
---
I.e., it's a very old, very stale,
dig at the entire philosophy about why people even _make_ governments.

---
Reducto ad absurdium, _free_ people make governments because there is
strength in the collective that can't be achieved in an anarchy.

Look at what's going on in your body; all of your organs are working
in concert under a set of rules which make each dependant on the
other. _Your_ government.

"Presumption" implies a knowledge of the future, which you have
earlier admitted to a lack of and to a lack of the arrogance you said
accompanies it.

"Able to take a little ribbing" implies that, for some reason, you
feel you should be able to take liberties with her which she shouldn't
mind. I find that _extremely_ arrogant.

According to our local luddite, it was the Bush-bashing that turned
so many people off. They wanted to hear something besides "Bush is a nazi,"
I guess.

And I guess it won't have too much immediate effect on me, but I still
weep for the victims of the invasion.

Thanks,
Rich
