Oh, I do. I fully expect everybody I flame to be able to handle it,
and give it back to me in kind. And noticing somebody's foolishness
isn't necessarily "flaming" them. Maybe you could say, "flaming is
in the mind of the beholder." American bullets, however, are not.
They are in the bodies of the victims.

And I must admit, it isn't George W. Bush I hate - it's the evil that
has him doing its bidding. Bush the man is more pitiable than anything
else.

And, if the cartel gets reelected, I guess I'll just sit here in my
guruic superiority, and say, "Oh, well, in the Big Picture, it doesn't
matter anyway - they're just fragments of spirits, trying to find their
balance point. The lesson is as intense as it needs to be to learn what
needs to be learned."

employees since time immemorial. I.e., it's a very old, very stale,
dig at the entire philosophy about why people even _make_ governments.

lies, then presents them and lets the public shoot them up. Eventually a
few turn out to be correct. Which is also how he's campaigned, reminiscent
of the Treehouse of Horror where the space aliens Kang and Kunos(?) abduct
and replace Bill Clinton and Bob Dole in the '96 election. So Kang is
speaking at a podium: "Abortions for none!" "Boooooo!!!!" "Very well,
abortions for all!" "Boooooo!!!!" "Very well; abortions for some,
miniature flags for others!" "Yaayyyyy!!!" Hit and miss like that,
searching for the right spot ... but of course, since he lacks that very
direction, he alienates about as much voter base as he gains.

said, which was that she saw the US slipping into socialism and the
then Soviet Union heading for democracy.

From what I hear that's China at the moment. Seeing as the USSR died...

Most of Europe is already pretty socialist, they probably count better
instead in terms of the above. But no one can say so because it'd be
rubbing their noses in our better-country-ness. :^)

a more applicable word. One imagines hundreds of the party faithful
leaning into the tow line, trying to move the massive deadload of Bush
government divisive attitudes and neo-con policies, with the right-wing
police-state control-your-life agendas piled high on top.

And the dems are any different? I could go out and ask a hundred dems why
they are voting and get basically, "cuz it's not Bush". Several people I
*have* asked have no honest reason. Let's not even mention *logical
reasoning*!

According to our local luddite, it was the Bush-bashing that turned
so many people off. They wanted to hear something besides "Bush is a nazi,"
I guess.

And I guess it won't have too much immediate effect on me, but I still
