Oscilloscope

Hi,

Need some advice on purchasing an Oscilloscope.

Never used one before so want this to learn on and troubleshoot some basic circuits such as a solar christmas light controller and FM broadcast kit.

It is an old 15Mhz the same as this

Would I be better getting this or some type of USB powered scope?

Will the above scope in the link (Trio CS-150A II) allow me to troubleshoot basic circuit boards and electrical components or am I wasting my money?

You might want to view this. He spends all of a few minutes on scopes, but it's worth a look at.

Compare the price with an analog scope. Sure, I still have an analog scope (several actually) but you need to balance age, price, and reliability.
