oscilliscope crt question

My Tek 2245 powers up, no faults, but the crt is dark. It displays the readout info alright and beam display works when pressed. There is a random blip but no trace. Any observations?

Do you have any " rug rat " presences . . . accessible to that unit ?

VERY heavy suspicion of mode and triggering set up

Jury rig this set up and see if it will pass this self test :
