Does anyone know how to confirm if you have an old or new P3200 panel.
"Old" meaning it will accept the GEM-AUOMATION upgrade and "New"
meaning it no longer supports the GEM-AUTO upgrade? There must be
some board markings that will ID which is which.

I just found out myself that my panel will not support the GEM-AUTO
upgrade. For those of you watching this topic, V20 and above is the
"new" model and WILL NOT support GEM-AUTO. V11 is the "older" model
and will support GEM-AUTO. The version number is located under the
little tin cover that houses the firm ware chip. I spoke with "Frank"
at Napco and he says they have been making the V20 for "about a year
now". My panel(date marked April 2003) is a V20. I've been planning my
entire security and home-automation system since Jan and saw no news
group posts, nothing from Napco, nothing on web sites, etc on this
change. I'm not sure how we were supposed to know. My disappointment
is overwhelming and my budget is shot. DIY's BEWARE, if you're not in
the "club" or paying someone who is, you may get burned!
