Old panels power loss

Found the problems!

Two panels had lost their diodes - one appears to have vanished into the
aether, and the other left plenty of evidence.

The first one left the connecting wires behind, almost like it had been
removed with wire cutters. No dust or heat damage - very strange. The
other one showed signs of long-term overheating - melted plastic in the
mounts, etc, and lots of scorched-smelling brown gritty dust. The diodes
in the remaining panels showed this code:

MR750

with a motorola logo. Now, presumably these will be easy to source, and
I can probably cope with putting them in, but the junction boxes where
they were mounted show some corrosion around the metal parts - green,
presumably copper oxides. The second was much worse than the first. I
inspected every junction box on all the panels, and only these two show
corrosion. How difficult would it be to replace the entire junction box,
in the interests of a long and happy life? I also intend to replace all
the connecting wires in that string - the insulation has faded and
hardened, and the bare ends connecting to the "blown" diodes was heavily
corroded.
