Does anyone know what kind of light bulb this takes? It's a fairly modern stand up floor lamp. I've been to every light store around and noone seems to know. Any help would be much appreciated.

Thanks for the response. Much appreciated. From what I hear an adapter goes into that socket then the light bulb goes into the adapter. Bit of a game changer since now it's an adapter issue. I think the bulb is a common small prong. If anyone happens to know this type of adapter it would be nice. However, it may be proprietary and I may have to contact the manufacturer to find out about it. Whoever that might be.

    Thanks again.
