Researchers at New Jersey Institute of Technology (NJIT) have
developed an inexpensive solar cell that can be painted or printed on
    flexible plastic sheets

This will be useful for even space programs

What they've developed is a press release. They don't mention
    efficiency.
Doubtful. Satellites need high-efficiency, rad-hard cells, and cost is
    secondary.
