I've been looking around this newsgroup before jumping in with a question on
a UK system, but before I do I was trying to find out whether this is mainly
UK, mainly US or other geographically based NG.

Unfortunately uk.tech.electronic-security seems to be someones
'one-band-anti wireless' monologue, and therefore there does not seem to be
many visitors to the NG.

Sir, most of the people here are from the US and Canada, with a smattering
from abroad. It's a good group once you wade through the vitriol. If you
stick around for awhile, you'll quickly see who to filter and who to read.
Ask your question here and there are many professionals who will do their
best to answer your question. There are representatives from both the
professional alarm installing side as well as those who sell predominantly
to the do it yourselfer, so you will get both perspectives.

I see you have met our resident wacko ( "wireless willy" aka Paul from
Belgium). He's tried to ruin this newsgroup as well but most have learned to
ignore him. He's basically a troll looking for attention.

Anyway, welcome to the group. Stick around and ask your questions !

Thank you for your prompt reply, and welcoming me to the group.

I'll post my question in a separate topic and hopefully receive some help
(avoiding our Belgium friend)
