New guy!

Hello Everyone,

I took electronics in high school but have moved away from it since. Well now I am in my forties and would like to rekindle my interest in electronics. I have had some luck building circuits from other peoples schematics and parts lists but now that I am trying to design a few circuits of my own I am burning through parts like crazy on my breadboard. I looked for local clubs without luck. Now I am looking for a message board to call home.

Welcome to Electronics Point.

I'm sure you'll find assistance here. First thing I have to ask is "What do you mean by 'burning through parts'"?

I hope it's not literally burning them. If it is, we have to stop that Sure, we all make mistakes that cause it occasionally, but you probably have basic misunderstanding somewhere -- that's the usual reason. And we can help with that.

To answer your question, well yes, I think I am really burning out parts but I can’t be sure. I posted my question in help forum so everyone could benefit from the answer. I posted the link below for you as well.
