Hello,
I've got a Dell D1626HT monitor (Sony N3 chassis - similar to Sony GDM500PS)
which needs a new deflection control IC (IC007 - CXA2043Q). I've read on
the AnaTek website that after replacement of this chip, I will need to run
the Sony Digital Alignment System (DAS) on the monitor. I don't have this
software and have been unable to find anyone in the Columbus, OH area that
can perform this procedure. Does anyone know of a shop (anywhere in Ohio)
that can perform this procedure? Alternately, has anyone successfully
replaced this chip without requiring the DAS procedure to be run afterward?
Thanks,
Mike

Most often the DAS is not required. If you call Sony, they can tell you who
has this. The DAS is only for the Sony authorized service centres. You can
purchase this with the interface, but it will be more costly than a good
number of new monitors.

Service manuals, and service tools are not given away for free. The manuals
are copyright material and protected by copyright law, and the service reps
will not take the chance to lose their authorization, or take a risk of
prosecution by giving away copies, or selling unauthorised copies. This is
why you will rarely see many of these schematics for free on the net, or any
system. The manufactures have been known to be vigilant in perusing people
who give out copies without permission. The same applies to the service
software.
