I'm trying to build the smallest device possible that will emit an audible
tone and that has an on/off switch.
I need for the whole device to weigh around a gram or so.
I'm a total beginner, so please bear with me. The smallest component I've
    found
so far that produces a sound is a mini tone transducer. It is about a half
    inch high and
I wish it were smaller. I've thought of piezoelectric buzzers, but the ones
    I've seen
all seem to need an 'external driver circuit' to produce sound.
What the heck is an 'external driver circuit,' and how do I make (buy?) one
    and are they
    small?
I also need to find button-type battery holders or a way to connect a wire
directly to this type of battery.
