Need help making Cottrell Precipitator

I'm trying to make a very effective device that can fit in a small area to
collect dust. So far I've came up with the Cottrell precipitator idea..
because it seems like you could collect the dust on a rod, or collection
grid and easily remove it to clean and put back to collect more dust.

Anyone have any ideas on this project?

You can try to use ionized air and a magnetic brush like in a photocopier
transfers to a photoconductor then collect the dust on a filter.
