If no one offers you any help let me know. I have several NT servers. I
also have the software on three of my local machines (2K, NT Workstation and
XP). I can install it on one of the servers to test it if you like.
Napco software is a bit quirky with serial ports. I've installed the old
DOS app on numerous PC's. On some we had to configure the S/W to use port 3
or 4 even though we only has 1 and 2. It worked though. :^)
That could very well be an issue with the port address. I ran across things
like that when runnng 3 or 4 ports on DOS based machines as well. In the
days when DOS was still the main operating system most machines were
designed to really only use two ports at a time. You could only assign two
interrupts for serial ports even though you could assign different addresses
in some cases to all four. It could be that the Napco software addresses
the ports only by memory address, and that it is not capable of discerning
interrupt vs port number vs memory address.
