Anyone out there have some trouble shooting techniques I might employ
to fix my key fob rx/tx system? Here's the situation:

I've got the Gemini 3200 panel programmed to note the UNIVKF receiver
as the third key pad and have the UNIVKF receiver jumpers J8-Off,
J9-On, J10-on. When I go through the steps on page 9 of the UNIVKF
manual, the "Enroll mode LED" never flashes rapidly following the 1114
[ON/OFF]key sequence. When I push the * button on the key fob I get a
single confirmation beep, the transmit symbol comes up and then goes
out followed by three rapid beeps. No "unlock icon" is ever
displayed. The Enroll mode LED continues to "pulse" which indicates
it is correctly operating in BUS MODE. The bus wires all appear to be
connected correctly and when I disconnect one of them I get a key pad
3 trouble message so it appears the panel "knows" the UNIVKF is
connected. The J3, J4 and J5 jumpers on the UNIVKF are all off for
the P3200.

Any ideas?
Thanks Folks!

Yes I programed in the 4 digit user code and the code works. But
until I can enroll the keyfob, it is useless.

Jim, thanks for the info. I will give it a try. I do have keypads 1 &
2 installed and functioning. I'll try the manual method and let you
know how it goes.

There are a number of things that may or may not be obvious .... so bear with
me.....
I've got the Gemini 3200 panel programmed to note the UNIVKF receiver

Do you have a keypad # 1 and 2? You can't skip a keypad.

3 trouble message so it appears the panel "knows" the UNIVKF is
connected. The J3, J4 and J5 jumpers on the UNIVKF are all off for
the P3200.

Instead of using the 1114 method, go to page 14 and try enrolling it manually.
Use the keyfob "on/off" button to exit the enroll mode. If it doesn't work the
first time, follow the instructions for * manually* removing a lost Keyfob
from the system as outlined on the bottom of page 14. Then start over again
using the manual mode again.

If still a problem, try removing power for a minute or so, re power, then
manually remove keyfobs. Then use the manual mode only to enroll . I've run
into a few of these that just don't like that 1114 method.

And don't forget to program the 3200 with the arming code, (which you said
you've already done ) and also make sure that that code is active in area 1 (or
2, which ever area you are using it in)

Any ideas?

Can't think of anything else right now. See how that works.Jim
