Hi,

I'm trying to get hold of this type of connector:

I know they are fairly common but I don't know the technical name to search for it.

Plug description

Hi there.
I would say its an interface mini molex type plug, thats what i would call it. Dave.

Spot on...It's a molex 4 way female latching box header, at least if my memory serves me well... the recepticle will have a mating tong to accept the latch. Measure the pitch between each pin as there are differing sizes if you are seeking a replacent.

check with RS or element14 (ex Farnell) failing that they are common on many cct boards esp. cd, dvd players etc
if you only need 1 or 2 recovery of a couple of used used ones would be a good way to go
