Hi, I am trying to create a system so that a small car will start with some speed, and come to stop by turning a motor (at this stage, it's being used as a generator). Then, after a set amount of time (ie, 1 second), it uses the stored energy to start up again (at this stage, the motor is being used as a motor).

I would be using a microcontroller, and am wondering how I can set up the circuit to do this function.

I am still unsure if I would store the energy from the generator phase in a capacitor or battery, or how those would be connected to the motor and microcontroller.
