Anyone know what this thing is? Any datasheeet available?

It's a white ceramic 40 pin DIP with gold cover and leads. No idea what
critter it came out of - got a couple in a parts grab-bag.

Thanks,

Eli

Hmm, that's a good one. Might be an old RAM chip of some sort. Take a
look and see if there's a suffix like "-2" or "-100". If it does, it's
probably ram.

Doing a quick search about Mostek (google) shows they did manufacture
mostly ram (based on the search results).

I've seen some ADCs and DACs from Analog Devices that looked as you
describe this chip.

I haven't been able to find a cross-reference or a datasheet though.
Good luck.

Thanks for looking. I did a google also and wound up empty handed too. Just
in case anyone else is reading, the printing on the top is:

MOSTEK
MK 6049P
429
7334 A

Looks like they were made the 34th week of 73. There is no printing on the
bottom. Oh well. Even if I never find out, they are pretty chips.
