    Hi

I need some help in understanding the difference between -

    Gate Length

    Gate width

    Channel Length

    Channel Width

    Channel Depth

    Depletion Layer Width

    Depeltion Layer length

for a MOS transistor. WHich of these quantities are equal and how are
they efected by threshold voltage and gate voltage. I am confused as
to especially w.r.t depth and width.

    Help is appreciated.

    Kranthi.

Ask your professor, or RTFM ;-)

Only 2 dimemsions of the gate really matter. The length and width. The
length is the one that is not the width.

That is how far it is from the Gate Hinges to the Gate Latch.
You can think of any channel as a series of short channels placed end to
    along the direction of travel.
This is the distance from the odd numbered marker to the even numbered
    marker.

This comes from the fathom meter.

If I could ask my Prof., I wouldn't be posting it here!!!
